The people of Senate District 30 face challenges that demand fresh energy, effective solutions and responsive representation.
As a long-term resident of Senate District 30, I know the district needs a clear, dependable voice in Austin. We need a state senator who will first listen hard, then fully champion the district’s issues and concerns at the Legislature.
My experience in problem-solving, negotiation and mediation have served me well as I’ve sought to protect and balance private property rights in a city rich with both rural heritage and pro-growth economic policies.
As mayor, I’ve maximized taxpayer dollars and leveraged assets to keep the tax rate low and citizen benefit high. Respect for citizen input, sound fiscal decisions, data-driven long-range planning, transparency and accountability are hallmarks of my governance.
We’ve been successful in Denton by focusing city government on what it needs to do. If you send me to Austin, I’ll focus state government on what it needs to do—and the first thing it needs to do is listen to its citizens.
